EAIE Helsinki (24. - 27.09.2019)

Hanzehogeschool Groningen, Philipps-Universität Marburg and the EUF will lead the interactive session "Enabling staff competencies to support high-quality Erasmus student mobility" (26.09., 15.30 - 16.30) which will familiarise participants with the tools and guidelines for self-auditing purposes and professional development, give them a first-hand insight into the draft competence framework, and provide an opportunity for feedback on the professional development proposals.

DAAD Erasmus+ Annual Conference "European Cohesion" (16. - 17.09.2019)

Philipps-Universität Marburg will present FESC at the DAAD Erasmus+ Annual Conference "European Cohesion" 2019. The workshop "Internationalization of Staff - Enough Benefit from a Big Investment?" will show, that staff performance has a critical bearing on the quality of the mobility arrangements offered to incoming and outgoing students. To ensure quality mobility of students, staff members have to be able to identify and further develop relevant skills and competences, and to gain access to training activities targeting their specific needs.

International Staff Training Week Marburg (13.05. - 17.05.2019)

The topic of the International Staff Training week in Marburg was “Quality Student Mobility: The Role of skilled Professionals in Erasmus+ mobility Programmes”. 34 participants from different universities of Erasmus+ partner and program countries took part in this programme.

The main issue of the week was to identify relevant skills, know-how and processes to acquire the necessary competencies for higher education staff working with student mobility. The program was structured along the three mobility periods: before, during and after mobility. The sessions gave the possibility to discuss in several seminars, workshops and with the input of presentations about indicators for quality student mobility. This included as well the evaluation of competencies and skills, which are needed for qualified work.
